Now that I've started to explore the land of blogging I'm begining to wonder if I should 'name' my significant others?
I know that I need to maintain my anonymity, but feel detched when I refer to my family as him, her, she etc.
Any thoughts?

I've found that it could definitely help. I've found some other step mom blogs that use names, some use faux names. I've found it's a whole lot easier to use some sort of naming convention considering that there are three boys :)
Thank you for letting me know about your new blog address! I would have been most sad!
I use Christian names only - and who knows whether or not they're the real ones?!
I am generally of the opinion that, providing you don't give away addresses and pin numbers it's ok to name names - though giving away surnames does make it easier for the villainous elements to whittle down the electoral roll!
Found you on Feedjit, hope you don't mind me commenting.
Keep safe.
Gary (or is it??!)
Gary - I don't mind at all! Please feel free to pop back anytime.
Crys - I think I'll have a go at 'naming' my brood! Thanks for reading by the way x
You know, I do use my daughters names in my blog as well as my own, but I have never used my husbands name online nor do I really comment on exactly where we are located. I have read blogs where you know first and last names as well as locations of people, and generally speaking they are safe to do so. But there are occasionally those crazy kooks out there that would go too far so you never know...
It's really up to your comfort level.
WOW, what an eye opener by the way. I have never clicked on my own profile but just discovered that both of my personal family blogs were displayed- last names and all. Oh the horror!! I suppose if any crazy kook wanted to find me before now they certainly could have done so and I would have been none the wiser.
Thanks for the feedback - Official 'naming' ceremony held this morning.
